@1: You’re mocking laundry workers for having it too good. Just wanted to check in and make sure you were aware of that.

@3:

Keeping in mind of course that whatever it is YOU do for a living also requires people to purchase it in order to keep you gainfully employed and housed, clothed and fed. But, hey, what YOU do is probably incredibly important, not like these whiners who only clean blood, snot, urine, and feces-encrusted hospital linens hour after hour, day after day. I mean, how unreasonable is it that this is even a thing you should have to pay for, amiright?

AFSCME? Pfft!: Might as well call those AristocRATS of Labor AssMe! --- https://www.iww.org & https://www.iwa-ai.org .

Shorter @6: "I gots nuthin'..."

And actually it's totally about economics; that's the fundamental basis of collective bargaining, donchaknow?
8
@6 glad we finally convinced you, comrade.

It just plain and simple cost too much to do Laundry in-house.

Shame on the UW for electing to de-unionize and oust paid employees just to save a few bucks!
12
@10: Bullshit. The UW is too cheap to hire union workers! How many more unemployed people do we need? Machines can't do everything, can still malfunction, and are only so smart. Smartphones are already dangerously distracting too many people--especially in traffic. And don't get me started on driverless cars.

I have a cunning plan, let's attack one of the last institutions in the region who hire and support union workers. -- Balldrick

They are probably all illegals anyway. Send in ICE agents and watch them scurry away!

Hmmm, so rather than reflect on the outrageous pay of many doctors, we are going to cut staff making just a livable wage and privatize, eh?

Doctors salaries are indefensible. Their contribution to society is not 15+ times more valuable than an elementary school teacher, and so on. As long as doctors make outrageous salaries, this medical system is unsustainable.
