The question is not whether it is appropriate to ask about citizenship on a census. It is. The government is merely collecting data on the attributes of the humans within its boundaries.
However, it is NOT APPROPRIATE for this administration to insist on the question. Their immigrant animus is public knowledge, hence the vested (nefarious) motive for the question. In that light, it should not be allowed. It can be demonstrated that the information is not being collected in good faith.
Yes, we do not have to live in imaginary absolutes where if this okay last year, it MUST BE OK ALWAYS. We as living humans are allowed to analyze the reality that presents itself and interfere to our own advantage. You are not framed in by words that others speak.
A question they know in advance many people will refuse to answer, maybe to the point of not bothering to fill out the census questionnaire altogether, thus resulting in an under-count of minority populations within a given legislative district; not so trivial in light of the fact that census data is the primary basis for redistricting boundaries every ten years.
If this is what Republicans are going to spend their time on, they will need to ask how many guns you own, so they can come and take them all away. If only the party in power had been able to stop the mass shootings. Everyone could keep their guns.
But Republicans can't. So they change the subject and pretend it's not happening. All those beautiful, beautiful guns and the people who claim to love them most doing fuck all to protect them.
I'm loving it. I think it's funny. But you guys who love your guns really ought to ask your party why they don't put a stop to these shootings so your guns will be safe. Instead of this, what? Something about immigrants? Please. Do your job.
#15 itâs not unConstitutional. Is Trump anti-undocumented Immigrant, yes! The courts, depending on where they file, will initially, likely, rule in favor of Durkan and everyone else aboard the wagon.
SCOTUS, if it made it to the bench, would Find it Constitutional.

They'll do anything to keep their grip on power. Anything.
Ok, how about we ask how many guns people own?

Because for all the people saying it is, no one seems to be able to explain why.
