It says a lot about the current state of the Republican party that they continue to support Matt Manweller, and that the House Republican Caucus will welcome him back with open arms.
The Democrats, to their credit, took allegations against David Sawyer seriously: they revoked his assignments to legislative committees and recruited someone to run against him in the Primary - someone good enough to kick his ass and send him packing.
His primary opponent (and now general election opponent) is Democrat Sylvia Hammond. She got 36.4% of the vote, which is a lot. And since the general election usually swings 4% more democratic in WA state (I just read this today in a ST article), all she needs is 5% of the vote to switch from Manweller to her. I think we can get 5% of the Central Washington vote to switch from him to her based on this...right? I mean...if Alabama did it...
Now, Manweller will introduce a bill to close CWU, as well as TESC-it will be called "The 'Jesus Says Learning Twenty-Four Letters Of The Alphabet and Where MOST Of The States Are is ENOUGH Book Learning, Dagnabbit!' Act"
Sorry, Manweller, the "oppressed Republican" thing don't fly in Ellensburg.

My college professors posted office hours but never kept them. In four years I think I met with two for a total of 20 minutes.
