Even if they didn't participate, the fact they were in the immediate vicinity, combined with prior statements from both Ms. Ramirez and Dr. Ford, along with the several sworn affidavits corroborating her earlier statements, is very quickly coming together to portray a picture of a privileged white asswipe who, at least at the time the alleged incidents occurred, was a hard-core binge drinker who exhibited significant personality shifts while under the influence of alcohol, and who apparently, at the very least tacitly condoned the sexual assault of his fellow students, and at worst was himself unable to control his own predatory sexual impulses. It would be no surprise if he "couldn't remember" some of these events, as memory blackouts are a classic symptom of extreme intoxication.

All these accusations, along with his other documented obfuscations and repeated misleading and false statements made to the Senate Judiciary Committee, sets him up as someone who has very little moral restraint, is essentially untrustworthy, and who simply does not rise to what should be the exceedingly high standards of conduct expected from a nominee to a lifetime judicial appointment.

No wonder the Republicans can't get enough of him...

He stated he never went to these parties. Knew if no such activities. Didn’t get drunk. Etc. In all three (soon to be four?) we now have multiple witnesses corroborating much of what the accusers have said. Gee. Maybe delay the vote and investigate? If they really believe Kavanaugh (and by extension Trump) is innocent the Right has nothing to lose in letting the FBI investigate. The GOP has put all their eggs in Kavenaugh's basket, because they NEED a quick confirmation process to get him into Kennedy's now open seat before the next SCOTUS session begins in less than a week, and before the possibility of a Senate turnover in November makes vetting a conservative toady at-best considerably more difficult, and at-worst well nigh impossible. With each new accusation, this becomes increasingly more difficult, because it's going to put even more pressure on Grassley, as chair, to either delay the vote (which now appears unlikely, given he apparently still intends to hold it on Friday) and allow a thorough FBI investigation, or else ram it through with all these unanswered allegations hanging and risk suffering even more voter backlash; not to mention the pressure all this is going to put on Murkowski and Collins, who could potentially vote against him when the full Senate debates the confirmation, presumably as early as Monday.

If Kavenaugh isn't seated shortly after the SCOTUS session is scheduled to start on October 1st, then conservatives will lose their majority, the court will have a 4-4 split, at least for the short-term, and their judicial agenda will be at risk of going down completely in flames. They desperately need this, and they're going to do whatever it takes to get it, despite the considerable risks, because at this late stage they really don't have any other choice.
