Over a dozen women have accused Prezinazi Tdump of being a serial sexual predator—that fact should be added to Every. Damn. Story. He’s just one sadistic abuser covering for another.
Nomi Prins wrote a thought-provoking essay recently in which she hypothesized that we may witness the Tdump/GOP regime collapse suddenly, like Lehman Brothers collapsed in 2008, if the Dems retake the House and Senate, thus effectively ending this evil abomination. We’ve never really had a political collapse in our modern era—even the Nixon resignation was well-managed in comparison to what happens in other countries—so buckle up.
wow. this is big.
How big?
Betting odds have shifted overnight-
"The odds that Kavanaugh will be confirmed to the Supreme Court dropped below 50 cents on PredictIt, an online political prediction market. A“yes” share now costs 40 cents compared to 60 cents for a “no” bet as of 11:28 a.m. in New York. A correct wager pays out $1 per share."
Pretty much anybody's guess how this all plays out at this point, but one thing is clear- Kavanaugh has become toxic for Republican brand.
Kind of wonder if Kavanaugh will soon be stumbling out the front door if his home with a fireplace poker sticking out of him courtesy of his wife Ofbrett.
this is pretty damning. but! she says "I was a victim of a gang rape. and Mark J and Bret K were PRESENT." She doesn't say that "Mark J and Bret K, inserted his P in my V." or even that they were in the room where it happened. the rest is hearsay.
*I hate trump and the republicans. just commenting on this particular statement.
Even if they didn't participate, the fact they were in the immediate vicinity, combined with prior statements from both Ms. Ramirez and Dr. Ford, along with the several sworn affidavits corroborating her earlier statements, is very quickly coming together to portray a picture of a privileged white asswipe who, at least at the time the alleged incidents occurred, was a hard-core binge drinker who exhibited significant personality shifts while under the influence of alcohol, and who apparently, at the very least tacitly condoned the sexual assault of his fellow students, and at worst was himself unable to control his own predatory sexual impulses. It would be no surprise if he "couldn't remember" some of these events, as memory blackouts are a classic symptom of extreme intoxication.
All these accusations, along with his other documented obfuscations and repeated misleading and false statements made to the Senate Judiciary Committee, sets him up as someone who has very little moral restraint, is essentially untrustworthy, and who simply does not rise to what should be the exceedingly high standards of conduct expected from a nominee to a lifetime judicial appointment.
No wonder the Republicans can't get enough of him...
@7 that is true. But it also means that Kavanaugh has now lied multiple times under oath.
He stated he never went to these parties. Knew if no such activities. Didn’t get drunk. Etc. In all three (soon to be four?) we now have multiple witnesses corroborating much of what the accusers have said. The other eye witness (who denied the accusations) has also been named a co- assailant and conspirator. So.
Gee. Maybe delay the vote and investigate? If they really believe Kavanaugh (and by extension Trump) is innocent the Right has nothing to lose in letting the FBI investigate. Kavanaugh is cleated they look good to women and they get a stooge in SCOTUS. Kavanaugh is guilty they look good to women voters and they STILL get another rightwing stooge nomination.
The only reason they want to avoid an investigation is they know Kavanaugh is lying sack of shit.
If I was a democratic Senator my only hestitation would be trusting Michael Avenatti. He’s more showman than lawyer and his vetting may leave something to be desired. So, I would hope others have vetted this latest accuser. Because if I was a deep pocket Koch Funded GOP operative I would’ve absolutely poisoned the well with a fake accuser.
In any case a god damned FBI investigation would be able to poke holes in the credibility of anyone involved at this point should there be any.
And, again, I will go on record stateing that if against all probability it IS all a smear campaign, it’s a very good one. That’s the kind of dirty shit Karl Rove pulled. And it works. And, while it’s unprincipled and not very enlightened, I like the idea of a balls-having Democratic Party for finally waking up and realizing they are in a street fight not tiddlywinks.
Smoke and smoke and smoke and smoke... probably a fire somewhere. Dunno if anyone has seen the Amy Chua Yale stuff related to him as well. All together, paints a pretty clear picture of a guy without respect for women who regularly treats many of them as sex objects to an extent that breaks the law.
That said, wouldn't be surprised to see him confirmed.
@8 It was released by her LAWYER, @Raindrop. You've got a football player and the captain of basketball team at a BOYS PRIVATE PREP SCHOOL in the early 80's claiming he was a VIRGIN who hardly ever drank excessively! I went to a private all-girls' school, we socialized with all-boys schools, excessive drinking was our religion. It's not credible that Kavanaugh would have been part of the group of friends he was in if he was a non-drinking God-spouting virgin. This was D.C., not Utah!
Surely this isn't the hill you want to die on? For this smarmy bigot?
These are professional women who are accusing Kavanaugh of assault and predatory behavior, and several former Yale classmates saying he lied about not drinking and being a virginal choir-boy, who did nothing but went to church, yet the vile RepubliPUKES are still calling them lying, crazy vindictive women. Imagine what they'd be saying if the victims were lower class and poor! The misogyny in the GOP is choking all their brain cells. We need to retire all those old men!
Hell, guys, you can find lots of other radical right judges to ram onto the court. Throw this one back. Amy Coney Barrett is just as radical, just as smug, and probably hasn't been identified at rape parties? The only attraction of Kavanaugh by this point is if you have some investment in shitty behavior.
@12 you know what logical fallacies like yours are called? Tone policing.
So. No. His comments are not “undermined” because you have not shown any logical, factual, argumentative fallacies in them. But you constantly expose your own.
For once. Just ONCE think before you post. Just once. And then rebut the arguments presented not the phantoms you want the arguments to be.
There are lots of very stupid people that post here. Much more stupid than you are. So that can’t be it.
But you cannot possibly be this consistently non-self aware. It’s just not possible. Not without serious organic brain damage that I would think understanding logging into a computer would be challenge. So that cannot be it.
If I was so constantly confronted by a lack of factual and logical consistency so often, and so well, by so many people, I would deeply reconsider how I thought about things.
I swear you’re either the least aware person here or the most brilliant Forest Gump impersonation ever. Any other option will shake my understanding and experience of human cognition.
@15 the advantage of Kavanaugh is that he is purely a party operative and goon who went after Hillary Clinton over the bogus Vince Foster conspiracy and who will run interference in any attempt at removing Trump through the Russia investigations.
(Remember he magically changed his mind about investigations into presidents the second a Republican got elected.)
All of the psychopaths that’ve been ruining our nation for the last three decades have degrees from so-called elite universities like Harvard and Yale that promote rape culture and kleptocracy in order to maintain their hegemony over our public institutions and private industries.
Dayum, I think the previous two allegations are suspect at best (in denying someone employment not in actions per se) but clearly where there is smoke there is fire and actions like this don't seem shocking to me at all given the details at hand. He said she said bullshit about a drunken dick getting whipped out in a dorm room or a high schooler trying to cop a feel IS part of growing up in the world not just America right wrong or indifferent. Spiking a drink to run a train is a whole different animal that should be taken seriously as it applies to getting in to the Supreme fn Court/ @20 your spot on fuck these dudes, imo anyone that wants to get into politics or law and comes from money is doing it for reasons not entirely beneficial to society.
@16@19 but the Federalist Society has dozens of those on tap. Extending the power of the right and striking down the actions of the left is their whole game. Amy C. B. will absolutely overturn the living fuck out of Roe v. Wade even if she's not an actual rapist.
Granted K-hole was their top pick for a reason. But not by so much of a margin that they need him in particular. More that they can't stand to give up any ground to the War On Rape.
Harvard and Yale are not so-called elite. They ARE elite. Both kinds of elite. “Elite” on merit and “elite” as in entitled by priveledge and wealth. They produce both because the latter seek the authenticity of the former.
It depends on the track. Yale College of Science is excellent as is Yale Medical School. Harvard Kennedy School of Government had some of brightest minds of the last century teaching there. Fuck. Unionizer and United Farm Worker organizer Marshal Ganz taught there.
So. Painting Yale and Harvard alums as psychopaths is just a wee bit hyperbolic.
This asymmetrical warfare. The GOP has all the power and no shame in using it.
You don’t win spectacular D-Day invasions or glorious battles with insurgent warfare. You just make the enemy bleed for every inch. And that is exactly what we should do. That’s where we are doing. And it’s working.
Every single poll out there has shown a shift in attitudes about Kavanaugh and about how the GOP has politicized the nomination process.
This is war of inches. That’s all there is. The only option is to lay back and get raped, to borrow a Republican metaphor.
@22 btw. If they didn’t need him
In particular he would’ve been ditched already to shore up the woman voter block before the midterms. They could’ve made a big show of “omg! He was such a bad guy!” And thrown him under the bus. But they are pouring MILLIONS into him. Millions. They are fighting way harder for him than they did for Clarence Thomas.
Fun fact: Kavanaugh’s “alibi” and “witness,” Mark Judge, just had his college girlfriend confirm that he confessed to her of a gang rape. She will also speak with the FBI.
The GOP has put all their eggs in Kavenaugh's basket, because they NEED a quick confirmation process to get him into Kennedy's now open seat before the next SCOTUS session begins in less than a week, and before the possibility of a Senate turnover in November makes vetting a conservative toady at-best considerably more difficult, and at-worst well nigh impossible. With each new accusation, this becomes increasingly more difficult, because it's going to put even more pressure on Grassley, as chair, to either delay the vote (which now appears unlikely, given he apparently still intends to hold it on Friday) and allow a thorough FBI investigation, or else ram it through with all these unanswered allegations hanging and risk suffering even more voter backlash; not to mention the pressure all this is going to put on Murkowski and Collins, who could potentially vote against him when the full Senate debates the confirmation, presumably as early as Monday.
If Kavenaugh isn't seated shortly after the SCOTUS session is scheduled to start on October 1st, then conservatives will lose their majority, the court will have a 4-4 split, at least for the short-term, and their judicial agenda will be at risk of going down completely in flames. They desperately need this, and they're going to do whatever it takes to get it, despite the considerable risks, because at this late stage they really don't have any other choice.
@8: the document also appears to have used a superscripted "th", the font spacing is suspicious, the signatures and the letterhead had problems, and the date is formatted improperly.
“I willingly attended a party where I knew for a fact that women were being drugged and gang raped. I was so disgusted and traumatized by what I witnessed that I proceeded to attend ten more of them for some reason and never make the slightest attempt to alert any authorities .”
This Avenatti shyster seriously needs better material.
I say so-called elite universities because their best and brightest graduates have been totally blowing it in politics and boardrooms for over a generation now. The only aspect at which they excel is lining their own pockets then bailing out with golden parachutes, while the rest of us crash ‘n burn. It’s not state university grads that’ve run the nation into the ground.
It’s possible that it’s a coincidence and psychopaths see an Ivy League degree as a checkmark on their lust-for-power to-do list, while in tandem these universities have abjectly failed to transmit American values.
However a simpler and thus more likely explanation is that rape culture and kleptocracy are their values, and the pursuit of power is all that they care about.
Attempting to parse Trump's gibberish is a fool's errand, but I'll take a stab at it anyway... today's presser- it sounded as if he might bail on BK, depending on tomorrow's performances.
Tremendous pressure on not only Kavanaugh, but on Ford's interlocutor. All Ford has to do is tell her story.
Now you can dismiss lie detectors all you want but between that and her four corroborating witnesses I would say she has a real advantage in public perception of credibility.
Under the circumstances it would be quite a risky maneuver for Grassley et al to stick to their schedule for a Friday vote.
Let us hope a few of those Dems on the committee can make profitable use of their 5 minutes.
Ideally in 24 hours time we will be talking Kamala Harris 2020.
Jesus fuck - does he STILL think - or at least acting like he thinks - this is a mid-season finale episode of "The Apprentice"? I swear he's like an about-to-erupt volcano that's going to spew molten lava all over if he doesn't get to say "you're FIRED!" to somebody - I don't think he really cares who anymore: Sessions, Rosenstein, Mueller (oh, especially Mueller!), now Kavenaugh - meh, any one of them will do at this point. But, he just wants to say it SOOOO BADLY!
-#37- well he will get an opportunity tomorrow with some face time with RR and it would be in character for him to attempt a hijacking of the daily news cycle.
sure hope not, hope there is some remnant deep stater there to stifle him.
By the by, the statement doesn't accuse Kavanaugh of rape, merely of being present at the party. This is not a mistake or an accident.
I don't trust Avenatti, and I'm highly skeptical of this accusation. @33 that's a rough look for the "Kavanaugh is guilty if he was there crowd" - so was Swetnik, who admits to knowing what would happen, knowing how it would happen, knowing when it was happening (while alleging only that Kavanaugh spiked the punch and was a handsy menace). There's a greater than 50/50 she ends up the big loser out of the 4 (although it looks like Judge is on the road to divorce)
I don't really understand the purpose of this allegation. Kavanaugh will be voted on and approved. There's going to be a never ending parade of allegations against the next Dem nominee and the left will be backed completely into a corner as they cede demands for investigation after investigation.
The DNC wouldn't need to keep sending these poor women into the hornets nest if they'd simply admit their goal is the delay the nomination vote until the election. Rough world.
@41 Historically, women who make false claims have been getting a pass; just look at "Jackie" who pointed the finger at a fraternity at the University of Virginia. Apparently it was no skin off her ass to blatantly lie like that.
It's really misogyny if you think about it. It suggests that women need special protection, and do not have the same agency or control over their actions that men do.
Per that first link, studies have shown the gender disparity in sentencing is six times greater than that shown in regards to race.
Regardless of what happens, should Kavenaugh get the appointment it will only be a short matter of time before the democrats regain a majority in the senate. Then they can begin impeachment proceedings against him; it should be easy so don't worry.
Over a dozen women have accused Prezinazi Tdump of being a serial sexual predator—that fact should be added to Every. Damn. Story. He’s just one sadistic abuser covering for another.

Ah. There they are. Knew they’d show once the food rolled up. The Rape Apologists Gang! Here to do another in their long series of Gang Apologies.
Gang rape? Who ever heard of that?
I guess the U of V thing totally erased the hundreds of campus rapes and gang rapes before it.
Like the 2013 Vanderbilt University gang rape the year before. Four football players plead guilty to aggravated gang rape.
The Baylor University gang rapes the year before that.
On an on and on.
Nah. its PC gone mad, MAD I tell you!
Regardless of what happens, should Kavenaugh get the appointment it will only be a short matter of time before the democrats regain a majority in the senate. Then they can begin impeachment proceedings against him; it should be easy so don't worry.
