Technically, being deported and re-entering the country is a felony, so you can legally make a citizen's arrest of someone who was deported and illegally re-entered the country.

Of course, you would need at the very least probable cause to believe this is the case, and these people could not possibly have that, so making a citizen's arrest of these migrants is likely illegal.

That being said, you are allowed to tell someone to sit and stay put while you call the authorities, as long as you do not use force. If the illegals are convinced these guys are border control (seems likely) and are just doing what they say willingly, it is not actually kidnapping until you use force to keep them there or transport them.

Of course, one could argue that the very presence of guns constitutes force through threats, so there is that. Apparently these guys took video, so there should be plenty of evidence of what exactly they were doing.

Will be interesting to see how it shakes out, although most likely the law is just going to tell these LARPing clowns to cut that shit out before someone dies, and that will be the end of it.

I suspect they're working with that arsonist who was starting fires in Fremont Ballard and Queen Anne who is now doing it on Capitol Hill.

The EHT passed 9-0 when the “debate” was in front of a SHARE-prodded mob in Council Chambers, and The Stranger declared victory for our wise Council and their enlightened policy. After real citizens got involved via our Referendum process, the EHT was swiftly repealed, 7-2, and The Stranger declared poopy.

There are perhaps a couple of black men 'murdered' by police in a year.
Tragic, too many for sure, but maybe just a couple, or fewer.
There are 4000 black men killed by other black men each year.
6X as often as other demographic groups are murdered.

It has nothing to do with skin color.
The destruction of the family, in particular children raised without a father, leads to massive social dysfunction that reveals itself in higher crime and arrest rates, poorer educational attainment, more gang participation, greater rates of poverty and abuse and neglect, etcetera.
This is a problem found in all demographics but African-Americans have, as a group, lead the way (kickstarted by LBJ Great Society policies that financially rewarded out-of-wed chlld rearing)
We are three and four generations deep into a social model where fathers are absent and current generations have had , literally, no exposure- in person or thru popular cultural exposures- to 'traditional' father-mother family structures.
"The Family" is the social unit that forms the blocks from which the rest of society; neighborhoods, communities, towns, the nation; are constructed.
The 'blocks' from which our current society are constructed are sandy, weak, crumbling and that shows up all over the culture.
