Noam Chomsky also once endorsed Pol Pot.

And it took him 30 years to unendorsed Pol Pot.

@1 -- Now that you've shot the Messenger
how do you Feel?

@2

It's fine, Lester Black is a skinny guy, skinny guy corpses are way easier to dispose of.

"I want to do intercourse daily. But after intercourse I fell semen not clearly discharge from my penis. As a result I have to do masturbate."

That's logic for you. You can beat your meat but you can't beat logic.

@3,

He may be small in size, but he's thicker.

I advise he contact dr austinen largementhome whom I've been lead to believe is an expert on such topic. He has website he does!

Hey Stranger, please unmask the folks behind "Moms for Seattle" and reveal their true agenda. Their lack of transparency and their concern trolling position-less statement lit my red flags on fire!

9

@8 Yes, but failed rapper and failed barista Spekulant told her “Moms for Seattle” live in Madison Park and don’t ever go downtown, so they shouldn’t be bothered by smack heads knifing people outside Nordstrom.

10

@7. Dear Raindrop, will you marry me? I love you!

"Their "true agenda" is raising money for the candidates they support. If your "red flags" are on fire, then you can do the same for the idiots you support. It's called grass roots politics." 💗

Above meant for 8.

Not 7. Ijit!

Nonsense, “Khmer Rouge’d” #1.

Despite his amusing anarchist acrobatics, Noam Chomsky is both a brilliant linguist and an incisive critic of the US WallStreet-WhiteHouse-Pentagon regime’s perennially blood-soaked foreign policy.

In Seattle district 3, Kshama Sawant and Socialist Alternative are in pitched battle against our above corporate overlords — we must win over all our class, all the 99 Per Cent, all our sisters and brothers, and hold on at all costs to the socialist beach-head today so that we are in position to storm the interior tomorrow!

So we enthusiastically welcome and strongly appreciate Noam Chomsky’s support and solidarity in struggle.

You say Noam Chomsky supported the Stalinist mass-murderer Pol Pot for 30 years?

Your hilarious nonsense is refuted here:
https://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2011-07-01/brull---the-boring-truth-about-chomsky/2779086

Whereas the US butcher-regime, having slaughtered millions upon millions of Vietnamese and Cambodian human beings, supported Pol Pot and his Stalinist mass-murderers as soon as they were ousted by the reactionary Stalinist Vietnamese invasion of 1978-79.

Birds of a feather flock together.

Raindrop, weed's legal in Washington now, so as soon as you're old enough, you can stop smoking the astroturf. It's hilarious that you think wanting transparency is an invitation to school someone who clearly wants to be more informed than you do, you sad little head-in-the-sand.

Meanwhile, you can take the words "democratic" out of your mouth, as you seem fine with hidden money and hidden agendas--which fundamentally undermines the open contest of ideas to win votes with ideas, not emotions, which is about all the "Moms for Seattle" website currently offers up.

18

Merlee Kay, the real idiots are those who are uninterested in understanding who the political forces are who are attempting to shape elections. That wouldn't describe you, would it?

Thanks Little Brown Bag. I did find those resources but I did not see any names attached, other than the donor list. One thing I did notice though is that on July 15th they spent $48K on Facebook ads for the four candidates they support. This is not so unusual, as others in the race have done so, but I am curious about it as Facebook had said they would no longer sell such political ads in the state, following a new transparency law and a related legal settlement with the AG Bob Ferguson. Apparently they punted Kate Martin's ads, but not Ari Hoffman or others. Anyway, thanks again for the resources. Take care!

Khmer Rouge'd and Social World, I think it would more accurate to say that the American intellectual left seriously downplayed the reports of the atrocities occurring in Cambodia in their enthusiasm for socialism and their suspicion about western motives in reporting it. Chomsky did suggest that the number victims may have been inflated, but that doesn't seem to be a position that hardened into any kind of support on his part. Much like George Orwell, Chomsky may be a socialist, but more importantly he is anti-authoritarian and focused on the misuse of language to play on emotions, and that makes all the difference in sorting out brutalists and humanitarians. BTW, in the 80s, I worked with Vietnamese and Cambodian refugee families in Northern Virginia as a liaison between them and the public schools. Very trying but rewarding work.

22

I imagine "Moms for Seattle" as a collection of bescarved women with chunky jewelry and Sally Jesse Raphael glasses, none of whom have given birth since 1980. They are FED UP with the bike lanes and the homeless, and they aren't going to have it, so they're getting out their checkbooks (yes, they still have checkbooks. They use them at the grocery store also)

23

Hi MelissaBees #21,

Thank you so much for helping the Vietnamese and Cambodian refugees, especially the school students, in the 1980s!

In your experience, did many of them arrive full of right-wing ideas but over the years become left-wing as they noticed that it was only the Left who truly cared about them?

Do you live in Northern Virginia?
If so, could you please contact our DC branch?
We’d love to hear from you!
Together, we have a world to win!

Woo hoo “raindrop” #14,

You’re willfully being too much of an “idiot” to understand “idiom”!
:)

Kshama Sawant and Socialist Alternative are genuine socialists.

It is not we who are “undemocratic”, “bloodthirsty” and “violent” — it is instead our corporate overlords the ruling 0.01 Per Cent.

And their executive committee — the government.

And their armed forces leadership — currently providing planes, mid-air refueling and targeting intelligence to the Saudi Arabian head-chopper regime as it bombs Yemeni children to smithereens.

And their police leadership — which kills 1 black youth, and one white youth, every single day on average somewhere in the US.

At least in Seattle, Kshama Sawant and the mass movement spearheaded by her have so far succeeded in denying the police leadership their proposed fortified bunker — the bloodthirsty thugs even wanted a firing-range in their proposed bunker’s basement, no doubt to hone their murder-“skills”.

Back in school, I used to invite Noam Chomsky to all our parties but he never came to any of them. True story.

26

It's ironic that Chomsky is "anti-authoritarian" yet he supported a number of murderous, bloodthirsty authoritarians over the years, including Pol Pot, who capriciously murdered a third of his own population and rounded the rest into labor camps where they were tortured and starved to death while their children were kidnapped, indoctrinated, and trained to murder their parents. If Chomsky had been Cambodian he would have been one of the first to get hacked to death with machetes.

Really Chomsky is just anti-American and supports whatever the prevailing anti-American sentiment or movement is. For a nice long time it was easy because that simply meant mimicking and dressing up the international communist line promoted by the USSR and its southeast Asian allies. More recently he's had a bit more of a challenge discerning who to follow from among all the wannabe Lenins of the west.

100 million people died and billions more lived grim, miserable, oppressed lives because of the ideas Chomsky promotes. And the death toll keeps rising in places like North Korea and China that are keeping his flame alive.

27

Nonsense “AceCH” #26,

Socialist Alternative’s Kshama Sawant has been — completely correctly —endorsed by Noam Chomsky.

As she ought to be by all working people — including you.

While we oppose Chomsky’s amusing anarchist acrobatics, we defend Chomsky against slanderous nitwits like you.

Where’s your evidence for your asinine assertion that Chomsky “supported Pol Pot” the Stalinist Khmer Rouge butcher of millions of Cambodians?

As the saying goes: “Put up or shut up”.

Your hilarious nonsense is refuted here:
https://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2011-07-01/brull---the-boring-truth-about-chomsky/2779086

It’s the US mass-murderer regime of the 0.01 Per Cent, of Wall Street, Walmart and War, which hypocritically and brazenly supported the ousted Pol Pot butchers after 1978-79.
With guns.
With funding.
With diplomatic cover.
