As the Philosopher Gloria Estefan Said, It Cuts Both Ways.

"This MAGA chud who set out to compile a database of right-wing businesses has unwittingly done us a great service." erhui1979/ Getty Images

I love the Seattle Restaurant Supply store and will continue to shop there. They're about as MAGA as kristofarian.

2

Thanks for the heads-up, never heard of this before, but I'll be sure and send my $ to these businesses!

3

This is just product placement for Public Square isn't it; next thing you know the Stranger will be running columns at Easter telling us not to give our kids bunnies as pets unless we're committed to taking care of them.

Republicans are horrible people, obsessed with children's genitals and public toilets. I try not to patronize businesses that are run by them or cater to them. For instance, if a business has the words "Liberty", "Freedom", "Heritage", "Patriot" or any reference to Christianity, I avoid them, because I know I'm going to get scammed.

It's like AM radio advertising. Never buy ANYTHING you hear advertised on AM radio because it's all garbage.

5

@4: I don't have that problem. I buy for price and quality. The political dispositions of the seller are irrelevant.

6

@5:

Of course you do, Phoebs, because, as we all know, you're a horrible person, just like @4 says.

7

Aw, I just found the auto mechanic I started going to about a year ago on the map. Fortunately, I've only been their once, but never again. Thanks Meg for bringing this valuable tool to my attention.

8

@6: Being a savvy and smart shopper is horrible, yes I agree. Do you have any else to add?

9

@7: Wow, you've really gone over the edge falling for this. I thought you were more sophisticated actually.

10

It's not a problem, Phoebe dear. It's just a matter of not being a sap, and not contributing to organizations that either have dubious intent and/or shoddy products.

Don't you have a public toilet that you need to go menace?

11

@8/9:

Why, yes I do, Phoebs, thanks for asking. There's nothing "savvy and smart" about giving your money to businesses that support a fascist, authoritarian regime hell-bent on destroying our democracy; that's what us sophisticated people call "collaboration", and historically-speaking it's not a term that brings honor and respect - quite the opposite, in fact:

As a small business owner whose business is very much NOT on this listing, it is true that we get solicitations for dozens and dozens of directories a month. Some folks may have delegated signing up to employees who aren't careful about vetting. If there is a business that you have used on this, I would recommend contacting them to make sure they know they are on there and that it is making you less willing to use their services. You might find that they were listed by mistake; they can be encouraged to take their listing down and issue a public statement on their website that they were listed in error. If they are knowingly listed, at least they will know how that may impact their bottom line. A noisy exit as a customer is much more impactful than a silent one.

@11: Think deeper and don't suckered into silly lists. @12 is a good place to start. That goes for you too Catalina.

I hope the author does not consider herself a reporter because this is an irresponsible piece of garbage. How many stores did you reach out to for comment? Do you know how SEO's and IP addresses work? Apparently not. Since you did not reach out to any businesses named in your article, let me tell you what happened to one of them, (who is NOT MAGA and COMPLETELY DEVASTATED to be named in your article). This particular company hired an SEO company to raise their profile in searches. The company they hired ended up landing them on public square, completely unknown to them. They did not, and would not, sign up to be on the website. I bet many of the businesses on your list had the same experience. It happens a lot with advertising placement. You would know if you did a little research. Perhaps you need to go back to school.

The second I heard about this I looked to see if Pilgrim was on the list. They're owned by a local church (whose members have been racist to my neighbors on more than one occasion) and the vibes are extremely MAGA in there.
