I wonder what tuition at UW was when Bruce was a freshman in 1976? How about the cost of housing? Bruce has a great backstory, but just because he grew up poor in the 60s and 70s, doesn't mean he knows what it's like to get a leg up today.
“He certainly didn’t show that with Denny Blaine.”
No amount of victory can stop the Stranger from taking graceless cheap shots at anyone who fails to agree completely with everything it demands. The fight over Denny Blaine Park had absolutely nothing of any kind whatsoever to do with either LGBTQ rights, nudity, or any combination of them. Park-goers from outside that neighborhood constantly behaved in selfishly anti-social ways, ways so extremely anti-social they are (unlike LGBTQ identification and nudity) illegal, and overwhelming evidence of these chronic behaviors was delivered to a court.
That last reason is why the Stranger’s chosen side lost: evidence. As on many issues the Stranger’s champions, the Stranger’s side in the Denny Blaine fight could not produce evidence to support their claims, while their opponents had no difficulty in so doing.
Opponents of LGBTQ rights constantly equated LGBTQ expression with sexual perversion. The Stranger constantly conflated these two ideas in the fight over Denny Blaine Park. How this could ever possibly help the cause of LGBTQ rights has yet to be explained, but one thing remains clear: Horseshoe Theory wins again!
@1, Technically they’re all just feelings, and Q is for people who aren’t straight but don’t feel like they fit neatly under one of the other letters. Their inclusion is no skin off your balls, especially since everything you have to say on this subject indicates you want no part of the community anyway. It you don’t want to be included you don’t have to be.
@11 - Seattle has over 54,000 millionaires. Most of them are annoying "progressives" and hard core lefties and voted for this inept woman to be our next mayor. Go figure.
Harrell outspent Wilson by a pretty big margin - the information I found said it was 3:1 (Harrell: Wilson).
Whenever the 'spent less' candidate wins, it is my fervent hope we can lay the "elections can be bought" bullshit to rest. I'm not holding my breath, though.

Old gray mayor, he ain’t what he used to be 😆

@4 maybe if he had allowed some unlicensed food vendors in the park it would have made up for things.
@5: That's what initialisms do.
@7 NAMBLA might be a better fit for you
@8: I'll come up with an equally vicious retort when I think of one. Meanwhile, let's take this offline.
I'm SO glad this election is over! Bye-bye to Millionaire Bruce and Skellator Nelson. Sorry, but that lady needs to eat a sandwich.
@1 Don't you need to go defend some more child molesters somewhere? The gays don't want you. We voted. You're out.
@10: Because modern progressives enjoy body-shaming a professional woman.

Katie is going to be great. Free housing. Free childcare. Reduced grocery prices. Who doesn't like that?
@13, yeah when the median home price is $900k, there’s going to be a lot of millionaires out there. It’s not 1984 anymore.
