So, the Stranger publishes yet another fawning article about a repeated no-hope candidate who will, of course, attempt to defeat a liberal Democrat. (Because not a single one of Washington state's many Republican elected office-holders has yet become the tiniest bit complicit in the Trump administration's cruel policies?) Last time, demanding cease-fire in GAZA GAZA GAZA GAZA was all of the motivation; here, Gaza has shrunk into the background a bit, but of course there's absolutely no mention of the once all-important cease-fire there, and certainly not of Hamas' imperiling said cease-fire by refusing to disarm.

And just because he's a repeat candidate, doesn't mean we can ever learn anything useful about him. "His platform is still fuzzy." Given the Stranger hasn't mentioned it either time, can we assume that, like many members of his faith, he opposes a woman's right to choose?

Now that Hamas has undeniably become the major threat to both the cease-fire they demanded in Gaza, and to the lives of Palestinian civilians there, our local "Genocide!" crowd no longer even pretends to care about cease-fire, Gaza, or Palestinian civilians. As that pretense was their sole basis for demanding the arms embargo they also won't talk about now, all they can do now is hope we forget all of their machinations during the election -- machinations which, we told them plainly at that time -- could only have benefited Trump.
