The Ave is the spiritual home of thousands of students, academics, aging hippies, homeless kids, street musicians, and crackpot philosophers. It's also something of a shithole—and Seattle needs to keep it that way.

This was a sad foray into the good ole days of Seattle, when people still allowed for the lower-class to participate in Seattle life.
