Retired Newcomers Don't Like Ballard's Noisy Nightlife

Why does a "great night life" have to include REALLY loud music? Wouldn't the partiers have an even better time if the music was soft enough for them to converse without shouting, yet loud enough to hear for dancing? Also, it would save them from going deaf. Best of all, the cops wouldn't be called over the "noise".
As a non-roisterer,I'm just curious.

I want to know what multistory apartment complex Sally Clark was seeing across from the Last Supper club. Nothing but a park and a parking lot here right now. No construction at all.

Because people like it.

WTF did people think would happen when they moved into these residential homes, with the nightlife there first? Do people even think at all, or are they blithely assuming that nobody exists but them. The old bag should STFU.

who would buy any home or condo without researching the area first? YES, Ballard USED to be known as a quiet, old, largely Norwegian, district of Seattle. But, there has been a decent nightlife there for YEARS! If you didn't know that before you moved...tuff s.

AND the council should back those bars up and Grandfather them out of the current laws' restrictions.

seriously, most people don't even like what Ballard is becoming with all of these new condo building going up. don't let the developers kill the nightlife too!

I'm so sick of hearing how AWESOME density is, when in reality there are some areas of town that are not built up and residential for good reason.

Please wait...
