Whoever wrote this state's constitution wasn't too bright, were they?

I'll sue McKenna for taking away my health care, that shitweasel. He has his, and we're paying for it. Why can't we have his health care plan? Or John Boner's? Are we not good enough? We need to end his career. Fuck him.

This is the biggest load of crap I've read in the stranger. I have to ask if Gregoire was still AG would the stranger take the same position. So you feel McKenna thas the power to do anything he wants? What bullshit. Were you there Eli at the oral argument? I was and it's pretty clear the Justices thought the City of Seattle's arguements were weak as was the Governor's position. The AG is an elected position and does need the permission of the Gov to file a lawsuit.
Goldmark's position is even more ridiculous. DO you want every Agency Director to decide what lawsuits go forward or would you rather have the AG lawyers AG decide which cases go forward. Let's take Goldmark's claim, I'm the Director of Dickhead Agency and I want to pursue a case that the AG's office think is a loser so using Goldmark's logic, I can force the AG to represent my agency. No thanks. My prediction a clear win for McKenna.

In response to load of crap:
Dickhead agencies already do exactly that at taxpayers expense. How do you think so many judgments against the state are so large, because the AGs office allows itself to be overruled by agency heads all the time regarding settlements. For example, McKenna currently denies Public Disclosure Requests out of hand costing us all money. The issue is not whether McKenna or our governor are dick heads (res ipsa loquitur), but rather what kind of idiots are we to have elected them?

In response to load of crap:
What do you think lies behind the awards against the state brought about by agencies misconduct? The dickhead agencies not only are not held accountable, but they make the AGs office go to court with losers all the time, thereby costing us all money by not settling loser cases. The issue is not wether McKenna and the governor are dickheads themselves (res ipsa loquitur), but wether we are idiots for electing either of them? I suggest that we allow these people to misuse their offices and authority all the time, and the AGs office would like you to believe that they make the decisions, but the reality is quite contrary to that view. The only decisions made by the AGs office is when McKenna can get political milage out of it. And thats a large load of crap.

Please wait...
