Her courageous action will be remembered in the battle for a safe climate- a safe world to be passed to our grandchildren. Her protest doesn't suggest we all stop using fossil fuels immediately, it draws attention to Royal Dutch Shell's clear intent to continue extracting fossil fuels in the most remote and dangerous regions of our planet. Scientists published (in Nature, the most well known of journals) a study clearly stating that Arctic fuel reserves must stay underground- this is not a debate. This is fact, and Shell's actions are that of climate denial. They choose short term profit over the health of the planet. They choose to continue our dependence on fossil fuels instead of focusing on a transition to renewables. Shell is insane.

Just for the record..the Arctic Challenger is a barge used for spill response and recovery. She was secured to a chain bridle use for towing. Not an anchor chain. But who cares what I really think, right?
