As to the last paragraph, I have heard of several such informal female groups within certain organizations (conservative & progressive) that are created by savy women to warn newer females of the men in the org. who will try to isolate and sexually harass / assault them. (The atheist movement, for example, has such an informal group.) That these spontaneous groups exist as a need for women working within private and public organizations is frightening indeed.
