Zack's someone the Glee Club didn't endorse in the primary. We were afraid he was too much of a party-line Democrat. However, he is articulate and entertainingly pugnacious, mixing it up freely with primary-election loser Natalie Reber right before the Glee Club's eyes. Plus, Hudgins has a common-man's anger about what a drag traffic is. If he can develop a bit more of an independent streak--he was unable to provide the Glee Club with a single example where he breaks with Democratic orthodoxy--the Glee Club believes Hudgins will make a good representative in the state house, thanks to his uncanny attention to detail and his impressive passion (he was a cheerleader at St. Joseph's H.S. in Indiana, by the way).

As for Hudgins' opponent, Ruth Gibbs, she is a suburban Rockefeller Republican. She's against taxes and the government and loves rich people and small-town ignorance and hypocrisy. Oh, goody.
