Why listen to The Pleasure Principal (a perfectly ok record) when one could listen to Tubeway Army and Replicas (two perfectly amazing records)?

(Misspelled. Oops.)

Brilliant defense of synthesizers in Dave's rebuttal.

God yeah! Give her Replicas instead. The Pleasure Principle is excellent but Replicas is THE ONE.

CAGE FIGHT WHILE WIRE'S "PINK FLAG" PLAYS ON A TURNTABLE CENTER RING. THE FIRST PERSON TO KNOCK THE NEEDLE OUT OF THE GROOVE GETS THE GUILLOTINE.

Gary Numan lay down electronic sound like Chuck Berry laid down rock & roll.

My two favorite mash-ups/remixes, by far:

Numan is to Kraftwerk what Lady Gaga is to Madonna.

In short, having fun? Put on Cars. Wanting experience? Savor the futurism of The Man Machine!

Gary Numan was awesome. He wanted to start an airline. So he did a couple of albums to finance it. They were hits at the time, he got his money and then started his airline. A very smart man.

Airline? This article says that he did air display flying (stunts) until his partner died.

It also sounds like he went way into debt during the 1980s.

Gary Numan: I had so much cash, all I wanted to do was spend
Singer Gary Numan, 53, chose to buy fast cars and planes rather than invest for the future.

Why not next, do "Welcome To The Pleasuredome?" Frankie Goes To Hollywood, while not having much output, were so, so, much more than "Relax." On second thought, nevermind.

Please wait...
