wow - finally reading you. what an insightful critique. i couldn't agree with you more. seems sometimes they just want to reproduce the same old straight stories plugging in girls instead of guys.
the "shane" character is out of character when you think about all the free time she has, and her expensive car, and her mystic sexuality...on law and order she played a transsexual. i think she made a better performance in that role because it dealt with more complex issues, and her looks and style made the casting of her serious, not joyful and playful like you always see her in the L word. (hey, my dentist is named Kelly Elward) and she too is queer. i wonder if she watches the show.
