Too bad the so-called "revenue shortfall" forced the passage of the 2005 initiative that dropped the project. Apparently Seattle has just grown too big to afford the property renovations necessary to make room for the monorail. Personally, I think it was the big corporations funding the city council that ended up getting the project blackballed in the first place.
