They Started Smoking Pot Only After It Became Legal

I occasionally smoked in HS and college, but really didnt at all thru my 30s and 40s.

At 50, I decided to give it a try again and have learned a lot about different strains and the effects I can expect. In all honesty, I dont want a mild buzz. I really like life in all its colors as is.
When I get high, I want to be f*cked up and at home. Forget it all for a while and have no real after effects other than my ribs hurting from laughing at stupid things.

Lucky bastards. If he smokes after midnight he'll still be high by the time he goes to work? Holy maloly, that's some strong stuff.

Tried it a few times in college, never liked it much. Definitely had way too much once and had a very unpleasant experience of it. The Ben quotes in the 3rd to last paragraph are very much what I've been thinking. Looking forward to the stores opening and giving it another try.

if i smoked after midnight i'd be awake until i went to work.

a 46-year old who bought DARE's BS?

who are these people?

Legal pot won't help me lose weight. One of my favorite ways to consume pot is in brownies. So easier access to legal pot will just mean more brownies for me.

When I was in 4th grade they did DARE on us, and I was so freaked out that I went home and flushed my moms stash (now that I knew what it was). I was in so much fucking trouble, but my mom felt guilty afterwards because I was trying to protect her from something illegal.

You cost my mom a dime bag DARE. Fuck you.

Gawd, I'm hearing adult conversations about pot and it's gratifying knowing what I've been saying since the sixties is finally happening. Any notions pot should be illegal are evaporating like smoke.

@7,

Kids fucking up their parents' stuff goes with the territory, government propaganda or no.

For me, more than legal/illegal, I love the idea of clear info for different strains, like Ben said. So helpful.

Just don't expect any guidance on which strains have various health benefits or treat certain symptoms in the new stores because 502 doesn't allow them to discuss any of that. Also, with a limited number of growers, and if the Liquor Control Board succeeds in killing medical MJ (including home grows)like they're recommending to the state legislature, there will likely be less strains available. I'm so pissed that patients who legitimately need medical cannabis as the law stands will be screwed so that some yuppies can enjoy a joint with dinner. If you want to save medical cannabis in WA, PLEASE write to the LQB by Nov 7 and attend the rally at the state capitol on Nov 21.
