Sure, it's not *in* the mall, but there is a massive Barnes & Noble in the larger retail sprawl around the mall. And there's a Half Price Books, and other used book stores further down 196th. The good people of Lynnwood do not want for physical book stores.

Although, by not being in the mall, those teenagers without cars will miss out on most of them. Sure, some will walk the mile to Barnes and Noble (maybe hit up Best Buy or Nordstrom Rack), but I doubt many do. And the Half Price and others are much further afield. (But still happy they exist)

The best thing that happened to Southcenter Mall in Tukwila was when they put a branch of the King County library in there about 10 years ago. The space is small but it provided a refuge for me when my parents would drag me to the mall as an adolescent, and there's always a lot of people in there. Wish more malls had library branches, since large bookstores are becoming obsolete.

Crossroads mall has a QFC AND a branch library.
