@1 the tweet has 55,000 likes and 8.3 million views. Twitter isn't some depopulated place where things go unheard unless a local newspaper reports on it. All you're effectively calling for is the silencing of any dissenting voice, leaving the incorrect narrative as the only one...

The Nazis murdered disabled people, too. They murdered 11 million people (only 6 million were Jews). They got rid of anyone they didn't like or want to look at.

And now the Israelis are doing to Palestinians what the Nazis did to Jews and 6 million other people they hated. And Zionists have the nerve to say they have the right to do so because of the Holocaust, when it goes against everything Judaism stands for and is about. Zionism is white supremacy hiding behind Holocaust horrors. Germany committed all of the crimes against the Jews in the Holocaust. Palestinians allowed Jews into their country when Europe and the United States turned them away. Then Britain gifted Palestine to the Jews (not theirs to gift) as some sort of penance and/or reparations for the Holocaust. Germany should have been gifted to the Jews instead.

Jo Rowling's transphobia is one of the more bizarre celebrity rants/issues I have ever seen. I don't expect celebrities to be angels, and I am sure that there are plenty of other famous folks who hold similarly shitty views. But usually when bigotry is exposed in celebrities, there's a massive apology tour and then usually their PR people/handlers simply tell them to shut the fuck up. Not Jo Rowling. She seems to double and triple down on her transphobia at every opportunity.

I had/have no specific knowledge of how the Nazis treated transpeople. But knowing how horrible the Nazis were (they were even worse than Republicans!) it would surprise me if they weren't hateful to transpeople.

It’s also amazing to find someone who can read, and yet somehow manages to believe there could possibly have been a “deviant” subgroup whom the Nazis DIDN’T persecute with hateful fervor. What is it about some people who can’t accept the differences among us? What is it about our way of life that makes some people superior to others? Doesn’t everyone have a right to pursue their happiness? It is especially egregious when a “famous person” weighs in with her prejudices. She was misinformed and her comments will promote hatred and violence against innocent people especially children who are searching for understanding and inclusion. She should know better. I know she will not be harmed by my disdain for her. But it is a matter of principle.

We are at a very significant and important time in history that we must not be silent about the genocide in Gaza taking place before our very eyes. We must not go along to get along as the majority of Germans did in ww2. Speak up and call, write etc. to demand that politicians STOP FUNDING ISRAEL NOW. We must do all we can to stop this horror that is mass murder. It is what anyone with a sense of decency would do. We can end this together. Thank you.
