The result sucked, but the game was damn entertaining. After the two-point conversion I let myself imagine Michael Dickson making a 50-yard drop kick field goal to win the game. That would've been so Seahawks.

The refs didn't decide the game, but they were damn frustrating. I think KJ's interception was probably pass interference, and then it seemed every ticky tack touch was ruled a penalty against the Seahawks--"Maybelline calls" in the words of Marques Johnson. Lame.

Oh well. An unexpectedly fun season. Looking forward to an all-LA Super Bowl!

Game over, man, game over!

Let me guess,... they're going to give the ball to Carson up the middle again?

4

Words cannot describe how much I fucking hate Sebastian Janikowski. I'm going to Seahawks fan since 1983 and I've never hated one of our players before.

After his bulshit 'Matador' move against the 49ers I never wanted to see his face again, and now this?

Did anyone else notice that he didn't pull up lame until after he saw that his FG was going to miss?

Typical Seahawk fan & reporter excuse: Refs are to blame. What do you expect in Dallas? How about this...Wright interfered with the Dallas receiver on the interception. Interception stands, TD avoided. No call. Seahawks grab Cowboys rusher by the face mask in the middle of the field as he's trying to reach Wilson. Impossible to miss - except the refs did. Calls are made or not made in error. Goes both ways and evens out. Only Seahawk fans claim the team never lost a game because the other team was better. Had to be something else. Pathetic.

Pre-game stat comparison: Seahawks rushing ypa - 4.8, Dallas - 4.5
Seahawks defense against run/attempt 4.9, Dallas 3.8

Tale's in the tape.

Cowboys have better OL, #1 WR, RB, DL, LB, DB's. Seahawks have better Special Teams, Coach, QB
Sometimes, your opponents just better than you are.

8

Well, ouch! We'll get 'em in 2019-2020! GO< SEAHAWKS!

9

that defensive end pulled russell down by his facemask on that sack where fluker missed his assignment, and there was no call.

the O line sucked and they didn't adjust.

10

They did far better than the experts predicted at the beginning of the season

11

Agree completely. It’s a mystery, really. 3rd and 17 and the ONLY look (I.e. the called play) is a screen to Vanett with only Lockett there to sort of block? That was one of many examples of just giving up on the downs like it was a preseason game not the fucking playoffs! It was so weird and totally inexcusable.
That game was NOT lost due to refs, Dickson’s failed onside (only 8% success in that this year in the league, doesn’t matter who’s kicking), or Shaq. Shaq has a bad game but our D did pretty damn well waiting for the O to do something.
The Seahawks were FUN to watch this year because the offense could score. Remember the shooting match against the Rams?
Pete’s post game interview was so sad - he really weirdly lacks insight into his bizarre stubborn rigidity to not use his amazing elite quarterback optimally.
I loved this season, I really hated that game.

12

@7: No one's blaming the refs. Cowboy fans are the dumbest fans around.

13

Janikowski made some downright horrible onside kick attempts this season and it's a job he's been doing for well over half a century. Punting angel Michael Dickson's first ever attempt didn't look all that much different to my starstruck eyes.

14

The only question is, worst onside kick attempt of the season, or worst onside kick attempt of all time?

15

Is that a Jesus kneel or a black folks kneel in that picture? I don't know whether I should be obnoxiously defending his obvious Christianity or incredibly angry for no good reason.

16

@15: Just being incredibly angry for no good reason is a pretty safe route to take in general.

17

@15: It's Professional Sportsball. Unless protest is warranted because mustachio-twirling, be-monocled owners are demanding that taxpayers buy them a New Shiny (via misappropriation of City/County monies), the best move is generally to ignore it altogether; maybe it'll just go away. In the case of losing in the playoffs, Voila!

17

Still mad that the football team gave you a swirly in 10th grade eh? Get over it already.

18

Sorry to hear about your CTE

but that would explain a Lot

20

19

Swing and miss there....football wasn’t my game. I guess having a normal childhood wasn’t yours.

Sorry not sorry you got picked on.....it explains a lot about your posts.

21

Oh, it was the Baseball what made you batty?

Sorry to hear that. too...

22

I swear, people calling sports bad/dumb as if they never matured past middle school clique-thinking is the damndest thing.

People have been playing sports since ancient times, and they aren't going to stop because you are oh so edgy.

Besides, Bart gets to sit up front because he is a good guy at sports.

23

The Seahawks coaches clearly had post-MLDS - Marshawn Lynch derangement syndrome. "If we keep running it, the other team will tire out in the 4th quarter." Didn't happen.

24

@23: Except that it kind of did. Unfortunately the Hawks defense couldn't stop a 3rd and 14 QB draw.

25

@22 -- "I swear, people calling sports bad/dumb as if they never matured past middle school clique-thinking is the damndest thing."

It isn't 'sports.' It's Business
(and if you don't Cater, you Lose.).
see: Sonics

If it's little leagues, it's grooming for high school. Ad infinitum
till you get to The Big Leagues.

Then it's CTEs for Everybody!

Well, mostly just football, but with MLB's 162 'professional' baseball games/year, if they wear out Bodies before viewers -- the KEY to 'sports' -- they can always find 50 more, eagerly waiting to take their place.

26

25

Perhaps you should focus on less strenuous activities...perhaps a Silent Reading Party is more your speed,

27

D_y__n -- your concern trolling is . . . Touching.

28

27

nice tap-out. probably a wise move.

29

Sell the team and move them to Winnipeg

30

So, is that it, Spike? Now that the Seahawks are one [sounds like WON!] and done, will you be critiquing the rest of the Playoffs? Or is the Stranger Local Sports, only? Because I hear Major League Football's gonna have themselves a Superbowl (with some other, different teams) this year. And that might be kinda fun, too. In a Corporate-owned sorta way.
