THE STUMBLING MONK PUB
1635 E Olive Way, 860-0916

The interiors of this warm and comfortable bar correspond almost entirely with the season of fall. During summer and spring, the bar seems out of place, dislocated, even suspect, like a night creature spotted in the middle of the day. But when the sun is low, the days are short, and the leaves are bright with all that will become their death on lawns and sidewalks, this bar, which primarily offers a healthy and darkish range of tap and bottled Belgian beers, is at the heart of the dusk and thick clouds that cover and circumscribe the cooling Kingdom of Autumn.
