For a city that's burdened by bureaucracy and can't get anything done, Vulcan Inc. has, essentially, told Seattle's antiquated public process to go fuck itself. Rumor has it Vulcan wants to build big in South Lake Union, but because of a bunch of pesky city regulations, Vulcan could end up paying kajillions of dollars toward pesky public benefits like low-income housing. Seattle, when will you learn? Give Vulcan what it wants. Or they'll buy up your block and turn it into a condo.
