What brought you to Zesto's?

I have a lot of fast-food experience; I used to work at Burger King and places like that. But I like the concept of an old-fashioned burger joint for the kids to hang out at. Did you know this place opened in 1949? Elvis has been here, the Beatles have been here, black power girls like Aretha Franklin... this is a place of history, and it's still around for people to enjoy.

How would you describe your cooking style?

I love to cook, but I also love to spice things up and be surprised. Since I've been here, I've come up with a new barbecue chicken sandwich, a new special French dip—I even mix salad flavors.

What does that mean? How do you mix salad flavors?

I added roast beef with mushrooms and turned a regular salad into a roast-beef salad. Excellent flavor!

Wow. Had you ever come across a roast-beef salad before?

No. I just made it up. People love it. I also invented a pesto chicken salad one day. I like to play with the ingredients we've got to create something new. I also just invented that drink you're drinking.

What's in it?

Espresso with almond and a touch of white chocolate.

Does it have a name?

I call it "Good."
