What is AmazonFresh?

It's an online market founded by Amazon.com that allows people to have their groceries delivered straight to their home.

I've heard this is just a trial period only affecting parts of Seattle. Is the program going to be expanded or permanently implemented?

We've been operating for about seven months now, and every week we're delivering to new places. Right now we deliver to Mercer Island, Medina, downtown Bellevue, Queen Anne, and parts of Capitol Hill, but we're expanding our delivery areas all the time. We also have pickup stations in Seattle, so if you're out of our delivery area, you can still order online, we'll assemble your groceries, and you can pick them up at your convenience.

What happens if you break my eggs?

We'll replace them immediately—we try for the same day. If that doesn't work for you, we'll give you a refund.

Will people steal my groceries if they're sitting on my porch all day?

We offer a predawn delivery before 6:00 a.m. that cuts down on those kinds of risks. Also, your groceries are delivered in temperature-controlled boxes, so that your frozen items won't melt and your dairy items stay cold.

How do you ensure the quality of fresh foods for customers who aren't able to examine their fruits and vegetables online?

We have people behind the scenes who handpick the freshest items while they're examining your groceries. And if you aren't completely satisfied with your produce, you can give me a call at 1-888-533-5659 and I'll help you out.
