Living downstairs from you, I hear you and Michelle coming home after 3:00 a.m. on a regular basis. Do you moonlight as rock stars?

No, we actually work together at Oceanaire. We both work evenings, and our weekends are in the middle of the week, so our schedules are completely opposite of normal. It's really nice; we can go hiking, camping, or out to dinner without hassling with crowds of people.

While going through your mail, I noticed you two are getting married. Explain yourself.

We met in a hostel in Switzerland, the night before my birthday. We're getting married on September 30, five years to the day we met.

You live together and work the same schedule at the same restaurant. Now marriage? Don't you think that's excessive?

Not really—every night is like a honeymoon. But honestly, we keep work very separate from our personal lives.

Are you planning the wedding menu yourselves?

Definitely. We're doing all the cooking in various kitchens around town. All of our friends are in the food industry in some facet or another, so it'll be a party and a feast.

What will you be feasting on?

We'll have ahi poki salad, black-cod cakes, stuffed mushrooms, and probably a spinach-artichoke dip or some other uniform crowd pleaser. Nothing makes me happier than taking care of my friends and family.
