SATURDAY 8/5

EARTHFAIR--This three-day festival offers over 30 earth-friendly workshops for people of all ages, including such topics as yoga, feng shui, organic gardening, and wilderness survival. Music, henna tattoos, and "healthful" food will also help you pass the time between visiting the two stages of musicians and performers. Don't forget your Birkenstocks. Paradise Ridge Park, Vashon Island, 463-1725, $5 per day, children under 15 are free with an adult. Camping is also available for $25 per person, which includes admission.


SUNDAY 8/6

SEATTLE STORM--So you still haven't been to a Seattle Storm game? No wonder they're having a ridiculously bad season--they ain't gettin' no lovin' from their hometown! Well, the season's almost over, and tonight they play our enemies to the south, the Portland Fire, who are having almost as bad a season as we are. KeyArena, 5 pm, $8.


MONDAY 8/7

AQUARIUM TOURS--Ever wondered what an octopus eats? Maybe you paid better attention in biology than I did, but in case you need a refresher course for the chapter on marine life, here is your chance. The Seattle Aquarium offers guided tours for those of you who are aching to know more than one would ever need to know about the sea life residing in the aquarium. Seattle Aquarium, Pier 59, seattleaquarium.org, $3.75-$8.50. Tours start at 10:30 am and 3:30 pm and last about one hour.


TUESDAY 8/8

COMICS WORKSHOP--Are you between the ages of 12 and 18? Think you got what it takes to be the next Stan Lee? Learn the basics of comic-book illustration from Justin Norman, artist for Marvel Comics, who will be on hand at the Douglass-Truth Library to host this free class for teens with a dream to create the next Spiderman.
