While divorces are mostly miserable—and have the potential to destroy kids and families—I now look at my parents' divorce as a blessing. I grew up with TWO DADS. One taught me how to drive a snowmobile, use a chain saw, and shoot a gun. The other taught me how to build a fire (even in the snow!) and, most recently, how to turn water into whiskey. All of these things are very important, and I'm especially thankful for the latter. Natural disaster or man-made apocalypse, I'm ready. Thanks, Dad(s)!
