If you've been waiting for a reason to visit one of Seattle's farmers' markets, your reason has arrived, in the form of plump, juicy, freakishly delicious local strawberries. Eat 'em plain, in smoothies, on shortcake with whipped cream, whatever. They're unbelievably tasty, they're packed with vitamin C and antioxidants, and seriously, if your only experience with strawberries comes from those imported-from-wherever boxes in the supermarket, do yourself a favor and expose yourself to the transcendental magic of the fresh and local. (If strawberries ain't your thang, check out the comparably delicious local raspberries and cherries.)
