I’m not an indie-rock expert, but I will say this about Fleet Foxes: The band knows how to jam and how to craft a pop tune. Also, the Foxes’ lyrical, mythic, angelic, rustically pretty tunes do not sound anything like Seattle, the city that made and launched the band to stardom. Fleet Foxes recorded its first self-titled album here, but the city’s cultural and natural environment had no impact on the album’s sound. Fleet Foxes’ music is the dream of a place that’s geographically and chronologically far, far away. (Paramount Theatre, 911 Pine St, www.stgpresents.org, 7:30 pm, $34, all ages)
