Down Low record-store owners Jon Lee and Ryno have the perfect dynamic for a seasoned duo, with Lee playing the straight man to Ryno's shenanigans. Along with running their shop, they've been hosting a Friday-night event at Sonya's Bar & Grill, which has an intimate dance floor that attracts both Pike Place Market lookie-loos and regulars, but most importantly has some of the freshest bangin' house cuts right outta the box. KEXP'S EXPANSIONS: LIVE WITH KID HOPS

Kid Hops' sets on KEXP's long-running Saturday- and Sunday-evening electronic show are always an eclectic mix of drum 'n' bass, from artists like Influx UK, A Guy called Gerald, J Majik, and even Plaid. Philadelphia-born DJ/multi-instrumentalist Vikter Duplaix got his start by lending vocal work to King Britt, and has since gone on to forge a solo career producing smooth R&B-style electronic productions and collaborating with artists Erykah Badu, Masters at Work, and Jazzanova. Avant-jazz keyboardist Wayne Horvitz and Siamese breakbeat/drum 'n' bass drummer Kevin Sawka are joining up tonight in order to cinch the gap between jazz and live electronic music.
