Society Must Be Defended Part Two

Vietnam Native/West Seattle/Mon Feb 24/8:58 pm: The suspect and victim of this police report are married and have been together for approximately 10 years. A few weeks ago, both visited their native country of Vietnam. Upon their return, the wife was afflicted with a sexually transmitted disease she received from her unfaithful husband. Tonight, the husband was on the phone talking to his sister in Vietnam, when his wife walked in and thought he was talking to his lover in Vietnam. The suspect became extremely angry and hit him on the head with a remote control. She then picked up and threw a DVD player at her husband. He blocked it. She then raised and threw a speaker at him. She missed. The husband ran into his bedroom and called 911. Officer Nichols responded to the call and arrested the furious wife.

Kansas City Native/Capitol Hill/Mon Feb 24/4:20 pm: Officer Mahaffey writes: "I was investigating a different matter on Broadway when a citizen approached me and advised that he was concerned for a child who appeared to be with homeless parents. He said that they were in front of the Dick's hamburger stand on Broadway. I looked across the street and saw the subjects he was talking about. I told him I would check on the child after I had completed the matter I was investigating.

"After completing my investigation, I went over to Dick's and attempted to contact the parents and child. I saw that the stroller for the child was still there but they were gone. There were several other people sitting on the street begging for money. I asked them about the parents and child, and if anybody knew them. A female in the group asked to talk to me away from the others. [We walked a short distance and] she told me that the parents were heroin addicts and had been doing drugs with her and other addicts in local abandoned buildings. She said that the child was always with them and observed the drug use. She would not identify herself to me, but said she was very concerned for the child's welfare.

"When I returned to the front of Dick's, the stroller was now gone.... [Later], I located the [couple] with their child in a business called the Alley. [The mother] was in the women's restroom on the second floor with [her daughter]. [The father] was waiting outside the restroom. [He] told me that he and his wife were heroin users but claimed that they had not used heroin today. I asked him about their living situation. [He] said that he and his wife had arrived from Kansas City around Christmas time and were currently living at the 'tent city'....

"Due to the addiction problems of the parents, and lack of proper shelter, I decided to take [the baby] into protective custody.... [and later made] arrangements with CPS...."
