A crusty husk of paper and wheat paste camouflaging an electrical box near Cal Anderson Park provides the perfect background for this meaty display of design propaganda. It turns out that "wd-usa" is a local design agency whose focus is branding and concept-based identity projects, as well as a commitment to "playing nice" (but not necessarily "by the rules"). And though the iconography is a bit worn, you can't argue with the tight, in-your-face graphic display. CORIANTON HALE
