Anybody out there remember Art Chantry's flaming transvestite crotch poster for the Flaming Lips' two-night stand at Moe in 1995? Maybe not. I'm not big on nostalgia, but I think the main reason I like this poster by Daniel Wiese (www.donation design.com) is that it reminds me of that whole era of poster-making: quick and dirty, simple, iconic. Plus, Wiese's mission—providing affordable design services in order to "make the world a more visually appealing and mentally stimulating place"—sounds fairly noble.
