Singer and marimba player Erin Jorgensen is like that magic lamp in The Arabian Nights: deceptively small and full of power you cannot imagine. For Redemption, her first full-length theater performance, she’s teamed up with Northwest music titan Steve Fisk (producer for Nirvana, Sleater-Kinney, Screaming Trees, and many more) to create a dreamy song cycle about intimacy and Craigslist, sex and fear. It is, Jorgensen wrote in an e-mail, “like a church service I invented for myself to make myself feel better.” I can’t wait. (On the Boards, 100 W Roy St, www.ontheboards.org, 8 pm, $20)
