Do you know what’s insane? For decades, the nerdiest, most literary city in the US has not had its own small press expo. Short Run fills that gaping hole with an all-ages rock club jammed full of literary journals, comics, zines, and small-press books, along with a fancy bake sale and screenings of recent work from Seattle Experimental Animation Team. Find your new favorite comic book (Detained, Eroyn Franklin’s 26-foot-long immigration cartoon, should be a top contender) and marvel at the joy that only beautiful, handmade books can bring.
