WEDNESDAY 1/7

ARTHAUS SUR BETE

And here we are, all bright-tailed and bushy-eyed, survivors of yet another frantic and happy New Year. But wait! Hark! If you strain your ears over the creaking and groaning of our poor tortured livers, you can hear the irresistible whisper of TONS OF AWESOME JUNK TO DO on the big gay wind. But wait, even more! Before we dive in, there's a serious, serious situation you need to know about: Revolution Thursdays at the Baltic Room are no more. They have jumped ship, bought the farm, gone tits up (quite shocking indeed, as the night always seemed so popular), and if you show up with your hat in your hand, expecting DonnaTella Howe to be running her mouth or something, you'll look quite the rube indeed. (There are whisperings that HollaBack with Isaac Scott is taking the spot later this month, but we'll burn that bridge when we come to it—no word yet on DonnaTella's next adventure, but you know you can't keep that boxy-hipped so-and-so down for long.) But where one queen falls, two (or more) rise from her ashes—in this case Dita and Cherry Sur Bête of the House of Sur Bête. They have been working on a new night called ARTHAUS, and the results so far have been spectacular. Dita explains, "It's a drag battle royale of all Seattle drag houses competing for the title and a $100 bar tab (given every week to the winners)." They even open early at 8 p.m. to present "Gay 101: Movies You Should Know"! And pleeease dress to impress—these gurls are really bringing the art haus looks. Kremwerk, 8 pm, free before 10 pm/$5 after, 21+.

SUNDAY 1/11

MAMA'S MAMA MIA

If you haven't seen Mimosas with Mama's latest every-Sunday offering, Mama Mia, you probably should, even if it evokes terrible memories of Meryl Streep making your ears bleed, because: (A) it's pretty awesome and I'm sure you'll just adore it, and (B) if you don't, Mama Tits will know. She will find you, and her wrath is most terrible. Most terrible indeed. (FEAR THE POWER OF THE TITS!) With Tipsy Rose Lee, the charming Felix Manchild, and more. The Unicorn, 1 pm, $25, 21+. recommended
