Usually, we have to wait a couple months for Seattle’s readings scene to heat back up after the New Year, but literary 2012 kicks off in grand fashion with tonight’s Off Hours Reading, featuring some of our shiniest local talent. The Off Hours celebrates our most adventurous writers at the height of their powers. Poet James Arthur (whose poems have appeared in the New Yorker and the New Republic) leads a bill that includes 2011 Stranger Theater Genius Jose Bold and poet-turned-Mormon-sex-memoirist Nicole Hardy. The costar of the show—a well-stocked bar—doesn’t hurt, either. (Sole Repair, 1001 E Pike, 979-7467, 8:30 pm, $5, 21+)
