FRONT OF BOOK Letters: Not only is there a full page of letters this week, but The Stranger also manages, for the most part, to refrain from mocking its readers with asinine responses... Last Days: Didn't read... NEWS I skipped the entire news section this week, as I assume most Stranger readers will as well... SHORT FEATURE: A good profile from Kathleen Wilson for the second week in a row... FEATURE: Long, technical, very quote-heavy. Such a dull subject hardly seems worthy of such a mammoth length (Note: This is the same critique I made of last week's feature. As you can see, it applies here as well.)... FILM Film Lead: Like most untalented writers, Bradley Steinbacher assumes that readers would much rather read about his life than the article's subject. He is spectacularly wrong... Film Follow(s): Two articles by Sean Nelson (i.e., I didn't bother to read them)... BOOKS Books Lead: Didn't read... ART Didn't read... THEATER Too gay ... CHOW Didn't read... MUSIC Two fairly standard profiles and an exceptionally smutty interview. Why is The Stranger regarded for its music section?... ETC. The Band: Similar to last week's column. Evidently the stunning mediocrity that infects The Stranger can infect people outside of its offices as well... It's My Party: Didn't read... Celeb I Saw U: Too gay... I Love TV: Mr. Humphrey has a filthy trenchmouth... Savage Love: Mr. Savage has a filthy trenchmouth as well... Obits: Didn't read.
