FRONT OF BOOK Letters: A half page of strong complaints from readers. One suspects there could have been three more pages, given the disdain Seattle's residents hold for The Stranger.... Last Days: Heartfelt and hilarious.... NEWS Dull and sleep-inducing.... SHORT FEATURE Apparently not realizing that the horse has been suitably kicked to death, Eli Sanders pens another scolding feature on AIDS organizations.... FEATURE A massive "package" promoting the Stranger-sponsored "Capitol Hill Block Party." Isn't this sort of intellectually corrupt "advertorial" content precisely what The Stranger has accused its rival, the Seattle Weekly, of partaking of in the past?... THEATER Too gay.... BOOKS Impenetrable and obscure.... ART A large, well-handled feature on The Cremaster Cycle. Very engaging, and very well done.... FOOD Didn't read.... MUSIC Didn't read.... FILM A major disservice to the art of cinema.... ETC. Nightstand: Didn't read.... Some Candy Talking: Also didn't read.... Live Wire: After Last Days, perhaps The Stranger's most enjoyable, and useful, column.... Erasing Hours: After the pseudo-triumph of last week's column, Sean Nelson returns to his usual inept form, this time detailing his unsavory attraction for an actress. Why should anyone care who Mr. Nelson is attracted to?... Savage Love: Pure filth.... I Love TV: Also pure filth (with a dash of racism added in for good measure).... Control Tower: Didn't read.... Celebrity I Saw U: Note to Adrian Ryan: Despite your rather limp-wristed slap at me in your column this week, no amount of catty bickering can change the fact that your column is too gay....
