The Castaways have always seemed smarter, stronger, and more artful than the average burlesque company, as if a few eggs laid by ballerinas and acrobats were shoved into the wrong incubator. Their new show, Tune in Tokyo, is a whole new palette of half-naked fun, including the unbelievably strong upper body of longtime Castaway Jonny Boy, who also designs and welds their circusy contraptions. In this show, he performs a spectacular solo while spinning on something that looks like the product of a bed that mated with a gyroscope.
