This week there is only one show in all of Seattle that you need to know about: Owl City at the Paramount. Hahaha! April fool, sucker. I don't think you should really go to that show. Owl City is ridiculous.

A show that is no joke, however, is Mr. Greg Attonito of the Bouncing Souls performing at Healthy Times Fun Club on Thursday, April 1, along with singer Shanti Wintergate. Tickets are $5 at the door.

As the frontman for the Bouncing Souls, Attonito has spent the last 20 years of his life pogoing across stages and singing songs about riding BMX, growing up in New Jersey, and being in love with the girl who works at the Quick Chek.

During the Souls' rare moments of downtime, though, Attonito has been known to strap on an acoustic guitar and team up with Wintergate to play favorites from the Bouncing Souls' catalog, along with covers including songs by the Ramones and Johnny Cash. It's nothing too magical—just a couple folks playing acoustic versions of their favorite songs—but, if like me you're a Bouncing Souls fan, it'll be a great chance to see Attonito play in a more intimate environment.

Opening the show is Kepi Ghoulie, of the defunct horror-movie-loving Groovie Ghoulies. He plays fun, optimistic pop gems reminiscent of his Northern California peers the Mr. T Experience (without all the self-loathing), which nicely bucks the trend of punk-rock veterans going solo only to play depressing sad-bastard music. recommended
