The Stranger’s music-and-reading series returns with the most anticipated novel of the fall. Michael Chabon has seduced an army of readers with The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Klay and The Yiddish Policemen’s Union. Tonight, he introduces Seattle to his newest novel, Telegraph Avenue, accompanied by smoky, sultry music from the Jose Gonzales Trio. Plus: a full bar, a brief, illustrated talk on the brilliance of Chabon’s Wonder Boys from Christopher Frizzelle, and Stranger books editor Paul Constant hosting while trying not to sound like an idiot, which is always kind of amusing. (Fred Wildlife Refuge, 127 Boylston Ave E, www.strangertickets.com, 7 pm, free, 21+, THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT)
