* VIRGINIA NICHOLSON

Nicholson is the daughter of Quentin Bell and granddaughter of Vanessa, so she knows from the bohemian life, which is the subject of her book, and her lecture. What seems promising is the inclusion, along with your usual romantic ideas of what this life entails (garrets, cheap wine, brilliance), of the often shoddy reality (poverty, hunger, death). Lecture Sat March 13, 1-2:30 pm. Frye Art Museum, 704 Terry Ave, 622-6952. $15.
