European, Russian, Asian, and Latin American dancers tour American cities on a regular basis, but this is a rare chance to see what a selection of female African choreographers/performers are up to. It’s the first American tour for a two-night lineup of artists from Mali, South Africa, Mozambique, Morocco, and Ivory Coast, whose creations range from classically rooted to politically tinged to cutting-edge. Judging from video online, it’s hot, explosive, sometimes funny stuff involving dolls, drowning, hugging, high heels, and buckets. Each of the two nights (Friday and Saturday) is a different lineup, so you might even consider attending both. (Moore Theater, 1932 Second Ave, www.stgpresents.org, 8 pm, $30)
