• Local electronic-music producer IG88 (Branden Clarke) had his entire music rig stolen over the weekend—after playing a breast cancer benefit show (no good deed goes unpunished, eh?). You can see IG88's setup here: imgur.com/jfISZg1. Keep both eyes peeled.

• Seattle darkwave/noise trio Crypts are planning to cut their next record in September at Omar Rodríguez-López's El Paso, Texas, recording compound. There's also talk of Ministry's Al Jourgensen joining in, so say a prayer for Crypts' well-being.

• Cementing his rep as a supporter of hometown arts and all things gay, last week, Grammy-winning rapper/noted Kendrick Lamar insulter Macklemore attended a performance of the campy musical Little Shop of Horrors at ACT Theatre.

• Rejoice! Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar Arena Spectacular is coming to KeyArena on July 10, and it will feature Michelle Williams (from Destiny's Child!) as Mary Magdalene, Brandon Boyd (from Incubus!) as Judas Iscariot, JC Chasez (from *NSYNC!) as Pontius Pilate, and Johnny "Rotten" Lydon (from Country Life butter commercials) as King Herod. Ben Forster, winner of Superstar (England's version of American Idol), will play Jesus.

• Speaking of rock musicals, a few days prior to the 20th anniversary of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain's death, Courtney Love spoke to NME about her plans to take her late husband's legacy to Broadway. Love stated, "After being swarmed by tons of Nirvana fan mail and social media posts pushing for a musical to become a reality, both Frances [Bean Cobain, Kurt and Courtney's daughter] and I have thought long and hard and agreed that if we can reach up to the highest shelf and select a team of the greatest and most respected writers, producers, and directors, then a Broadway musical is very likely to happen."

• Here's an idea whose time has come: All bars and music venues that sell cheap beer (PBR, Rainier, and other purveyors of olfactory insult) should keep a free bowl of breath mints on the premises—or at least have 'em available for purchase. This seems like an obvious concept, but no establishment—in our experience—has tried it.

• Chop Suey's Dragon Lounge—the brand-new bar/hangout in the front area of the venue—opened on April 7. Stay tuned for BYOV (bring your own vinyl) nights, karaoke, and other chill events.

• Wild Cherry's "Play That Funky Music" is even more insufferable as a lardo-jazz cover, as evidenced by the speakers in the Pike Street QFC. recommended
