Voter turnout for the Crisis Care levy is at 24% so it will probably end up passing with just over 25% of registered voters bothering to turn in a ballot. We all know how TS feels about off cycle elections, how they are undemocratic and amount to voter suppression so I'm looking forward to some editorials in these pages about that. Btw the recall turnout ended up at 53% so this isn't even half of that. Sad.

Trump brought in fake electors, organized and paid to bud in a mob called “stop the steal” (and after losing 63 straight court charges including his own stooge SCOTUS) those are clear admissions of an intent to subvert and overthrow a free and fair election. That is a coup. That is sedition.

The only reason it’s not prosecuted is simply because the coup was supported by the entire Republican Party apparatus and its stooges on SCOTUS.

At any other point in history there would have already been trials and likely capitol punishment.

However, I wasn’t thinking about the ‘fight like hell’ January 6th riot - more the scheme to have fake electors, calling in the military to seize voting machines and declare martial law, insisting the election was phoney after being told there was no evidence to support that.
Likely the best thing to hope for now is indictment for the ‘perfect call’ to Raffensberger.

@12 this is all of KC. I would guess once we get the final data and dissect it we’ll find 70% of Seattle supported it and the outlying areas pulled the overall average down. On average KC usually supports something like this at around 60% so this is a bit lower but not much.

Howard Gale is indeed a time-wasting crank, but Juarez never listens to ANYONE. She's always looking down at papers during Council meetings, she doesn't meet with constituents, and she doesn't reply to emails or phone calls to her. She said ahead of time that this would be her last stint as a CM and she's been even more absent in all ways this time. A total waste to represent the largest district in Seattle.
