Pew pew pew America. More guns everywhere all the time.
Yes the White House should continue busting unions. I don't think Democrats have done enough to sabotage what little working class support they have left.
Here’s my Patagonia story: One rainy Saturday afternoon I was down on First Avenue in Belltown (I lived on 2nd) looking for a gift for a friend whose birthday party was that evening. Can’t speak for now, but in the mid-90s First Ave had some pretty interesting shops. I walked by the Patagonia store and decided to go in and check it out. It became clear quickly that all the outdoor wear there was not intended for someone with my income. I saw a baby’s flannel shirt that was $125. $125! This is a shirt for a growing enfant who’ll get maybe six weeks’ wear out of it. Patagonia sounds outdoorsy and rugged, but in fact, it’s rarified and smells of money. If you have that kind of dough, shop for resort wear at Salon Givenchy. Silly.
I wonder what’s worse in The Book of Human Morality, spreading disease or enforcing traditional ignorance by any means necessary?
Man, wouldn’t it be sweet if they could get DeSantis on something like human trafficking? I mean, since smug, fucking know-it-all isn’t a crime?
Does Christie need a job or something? He pulled this shit in 2016 knowing that he’d have to ultimately attach himself to the apparent nominee – like a tapeworm – with little regard for personal beliefs. No. It’s more important for him to ride that wagon train no matter where it’s going. It’s stupid of me to even ask how someone could support a hollow son-of-a-bitch like that.
A funny but also seemingly plausible theory I've heard is floating around political circles is that Crispy was coerced into running as a "hired gun" of sorts by establishment GOP folks. Someone with no real chance of winning, but who could credibly attack Donald relentlessly, so as to save DeSantis (or whoever) from needing to do so and alienating Don's base.
I kid! I called him a slob the other day and knew/know that I shouldn't have. The low hanging fruit is just so delectable. Except to Chris Christie of course, who's obviously not a fan of any fruit!
@17
Mr Bauhaus- I suggest lamprey, rather than tapeworm. The tapeworm has to be ingested first - but the lamprey merely attaches itself to the outside of the host, and then sucks.
And Christie does suck!

@30 ah. So we can cherry pick the sufficiently excised subset of “dock workers” until we arrive at “the dock workers get paid six figures for less than 8 working hours a day.”
Well. Take out your Xacto and carve away until you can squint your eyes and declare victory!
Why do I have to do this and not Mr. Dipshit who made a clearly bullshit claim?
His statement “the dockworkers” implies “all dockworkers in Seattle” (which we call stevedores and longshoremen btw).
Or are we so invested in this fucking idiots implication that workers are lazy and over paid that we will ignore god damned facts?
Because a tiny subset of even union “dockworkers” make six figures (as if in one of the most expensive cities on earth that’s some kind of crime in and of itself).
And even if they did make that kind of money they deserve what ever share reflective of their vital importance and the billions of dollars in goods they move into our economic region every year. And that share is likely more than what they get now. Seeing as the job is hard as fuck and has a very high injury rate.
You know what would be easier?
You fucking assholes admitting when you are wrong for once.
@26 Garb Garblar: Chris Christie is the John "Bluto" Blutarsky of the GOP Animal House:
"Just keep your hands and feet away from his mouth!"
How much longer before the clown car falls apart from the stress of overload?
And how is it that the Orange Turd, a twice impeached, criminally charged felon can run for the White House again in 2024?? The rest of us would already be getting cornholed in prison for committing 1 /10 of the shit DJT has pulled.
People get hired as journalists that don't know how to spell 'counterfeit'? End days...
I like how Slog writers fashion the facts in their own opinion.
I too am a product of Seattle Public Schools and I've always known how to spell "counterfeit." Are there any other words you need help with?
I grew up pronouncing it "counter feet", not "counter fit", which is just as wrong, but in a different way. I'm not going to rag on ya, Ashley.

Obviously we've opined up a hole can't of wyrms here
I hope the Times IT department is set up filter out all the AI-generated Mariners fan photos that it's going to get. But I doubt it.

@17 - We don't call it PataGucci for nothing!
Still, not as bad as Arc'teryx, tho. Or newcomer Stio. Or...
Shit's all expensive!
@20,
Yup.

Alright, I'm done for real this time! The drip's right and it's not like he doesn't give us plenty of other shit to deride him for.

@25: pat L for the WIN!
@20 whut?
Chris Christie (Christ, what an asshole...) is the guy walking into the room saying "I'm a grenade and I just pulled the pin."
Could be fun to watch. And again,
"Christ, what an asshole". Maybe it will work for once.
Also, @11, that is one of the best lines I've seen here in years.
Kudos.
@33 why are you asking me this Whataboutism bullshit? Why aren’t you holding the liars in here accountable?
Can’t you fuckers ever admit when you are wrong?
Jesus. You slog trolls are crippled with character defects. Admit when you are wrong or just fuck off already.
