Man, this REALLY confirms my experience that the Native American casinos in the Seattle area are the unluckiest casinos I've ever played at. (Not to mention that ALL Native American casinos are the worst places in the world to gamble at. That's the math, & their bullshit, not prejudice. First, a $500 maximum bet at a $5 or $10 table is a rip off. Maximum bets are NOT there to protect the players from losing too much money. They're there to PROTECT THE CASINO by preventing the players from getting their money back by, on the next bet, doubling a losing bet. A $500 max bet is for a $0.50-1.00 min bet table. In Vegas a $5 table will have a $2000 max bet.
And as to bullshit, go into the "High Rollers/(High Stakes)" room and look at the notice on the tables. High stakes means higher maximum bets. Raise the steaks. Raise the limits, right? WRONG. In Native American casinos, that means higher MINIMUM ($25 instead of $5) bets with the same $500 maximum bet. That means anyone who plays in the High Rollers rooms are even bigger fools, or at the very least more ignorant of odds & betting than the other fools at the tables outside the High Rollers rooms.
There's nothing wrong with gambling IF you can afford it, and IF you understand the odds, bets, & rules of the game. But obviously most people don't.)

@3 The "Mueller, She Wrote" woman, Allison Gill, is not at all "Trustworthy af", she in fact is a bizarre serial liar - lied about being a "Gulf War Veteran" (joined the Navy years after it ended), claimed her grandfather died during WWII (he survived and is actually a decorated veteran), and lied about graduating Naval Nuclear Power School with a "perfect score"(dropped out after less than a year). Uh, not "trustworthy" at all, much less "af"!

I'd never heard of Allison Gill or her podcast until like 20 minutes or go, but given your well established reputation for regularly being full of fucking shit about any number of other topics, I did some googling and couldn't find anything to back up your assertion that she lied about being a Gulf War vet. Searching "Allison Gill Gulf War veteran service" doesn't turn up anything incriminating, and then when I added the word "scandal" to the query, the only seemingly relevant result is a reddit threat that's since been pulled. I did a few other searches and there was an article posted to the Daily Caller. I don't know much about that site either, though have heard it exists somewhere in the ideological spectrum roughly between Infowars and Storefront. It also didn't link anything objectively verifiable FWTW.
I also tried "Allison Gill navy nuclear power school perfect score" and came up empty.
Can you, or maybe your Tim Walz obsessed friend there provide some additional context for your claims?

Having watched the "60 Minutes" segment in question, I'll concede that Weiss has a (small) point about it being unlikely to fulfill the expectations of the show's longtime viewers for substantive new reportage and dramatic, confrontational interviews. (As a straight "nightly news" type backgrounder, it's solid. Perhaps that's where CBS should use it.)
Politics aside, Weiss's big tactical mistake was that she inexplicably waited so long to pull the piece that it had already been sent to the network's Canadian affiliate and was thus out in the public sphere. I'm amazed it didn't occur to a supposedly Internet-savvy person like her that it would spread uncontrollably if she removed it from the U.S. broadcast. As the Slog writer notes, she would've been smart to just let it air. Given the small size of the current "60 Minutes" audience, it probably wouldn't have caused much of a stir inside the Beltway or anywhere else. Now the revised version -- if and when it actually airs -- will surely be scrutinized frame-by-frame by professional and amateur media watchdogs the world over. That said, the single most withering critique of Weiss is the one reportedly uttered by Scott Pelley: "This isn't a part-time job." Ouch!
